SOCIETY OF PROFESSIONAL JOURNALISTS AWARDS
SEATTLE — Alaska Beyond Magazine, the inflight magazine of Alaska Airlines, published by Paradigm Communications Group, has won five awards from the Society of Professional Journalists Western Washington Chapter. The awards were presented to Alaska Beyond Magazine on June 18 at the SPJ annual banquet honoring excellence in journalism among magazine, newspaper, Internet and broadcast media for work done 2015.

Seattle—Paradigm Communications Group, publisher of Alaska Beyond Magazine, the in-flight magazine of Alaska Airlines, has received the first-place award in the “Print: Self Promo” category of The Marketing Awards competition for Puget Sound–area media.
The “Big M” award, presented at a May 17 awards banquet, recognized the magazine’s article Strong for Kids for its effectiveness in serving the interests of Alaska Air Group. Paradigm Communications Group also won a second-place “Silver M” award for its Sustainability Theme entry in the “Print: Custom Publication/Special Section” category.
The annual awards competition is conducted by the locally based Marketing newspaper, and honors work in the fields of advertising, broadcasting, creative arts, direct marketing, print publishing and public relations.
In May 2014, Marketing inducted Mimi Kirsch, president and publisher of Paradigm Communications Group, as a Marketing Immortal. The honor acknowledges marketing and communications professionals who have demonstrated leadership in their industries and in the communities in which they live and volunteer.
